When it comes to emotional entanglements, Hunter Dixon is a runner. Someone would be out the door the minute the ‘LOVE’ word was spoken. ‘Don’t go building a dream castle for the two of us, and don’t go putting me on a pedestal, I’m not that much of a paragon of virtue,’ he would say. A killer in the world of high dollar real estate, his looks and personality keep his bank account full and his bed frequently populated. When he meets billionaire entrepreneur, Beauregard Medar, and his gorgeous limo driver, Patrick, Hunter’s world is turned upside down. Never before has he been the object of a loving male, and he rather enjoys the attention, but the truth is stranger than fiction, or so they say, and Hunter’s truth may prove to be his biggest obstacle.

I first got this book at the recommendation of a friend because it was set in my local area and then I discovered it was gay-oriented. So that automatically gave it two stars. It rose to three stars once I started reading it and associating with the main character. Hunter, from the start, is a real go-getter with eyes firmly on a goal of being a successful realtor. Author Duncan More has a way of creating real characters and not just bodies to populate his story. Although a bit episodic at first, the plot interweaves each into a complete whole, with some very erotic couplings, and a lot of moral dilemmas that need to be resolved.By the time I finished this book, it had definitely raised its ranking to five stars. I felt I really knew Hunter Dixon and admired how he handled each relationship and really matured into a fine young man by the age of 25. I also could see a lot of traits in people I know in some of the other characters, especially Mr. Medar and Mr. Davenport, and Ms. Rushton. The contrast of the relationship two boys have with their parents sort of brought tears to my eyes--how one set is so loving and the other set is so judgmental and narrow-minded. Identifying with the loving parents, it was sad to realize how many gay people had this rejecting kind and had to cope with them. All in all, a good read and well worth the time.I think you will agree with me.
